However, once I arrived at the Courthouse, the wait to get inside was long, and in the cold nonetheless! When I finally got to the jury room and realized I had a “get out of jury duty free card,” I jumped on it. It’s funny because I’ve always wanted jury duty and never got called for it, and when I finally get a summons, I don’t want to do it. Why? Because it’s not a sure thing, and who wants to wait around in a crowded jury room to see if you will be chosen or not?
So I’m home, and it’s still cold in South Florida! But I love it because my hair is cooperating, and I don’t need to run the air conditioner for a few days. Sadly, it will be back to humid and hot soon enough. Right now, though, I am enjoying some much needed quiet time and worship music via Pandora through my Roku.
I want to start from where I left off yesterday because the promise recorded in the book of Zephaniah is on my heart:
The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).
